  • Well, my weekend was kind of eventful.  Decided to go out Friday night with my boy Jimmy Jam.  We heard about this "Filipino" party out on the East Side and headed over there.  We came to this place called AZAZA's [50th and 1st].  Strange place.  I definitely didn't see any Filipinos, let alone a party in there.  The bouncer was all like "Yeah, its a private party...but I'll let you guys come in."  Wish he didn't do me any favors.  This place was strange.  We were there for ~ 30 minutes and everyone slowly left...one-by-one.  There was like a total of 20 people there.  But what would this entry be without a funny story?  So when we get there, I decided to get some drinks.  As I head over to the bar, I noticed 2 women come in, dressed in the same sparkling silver blouses, to the room.  From my vantage point, I could tell they worked there and one girl had a tray in her hand.  But that didn't stop my boy.  He starts giving one girl the eye and she proceeds to talk to him.  I could tell he was trying to kick it to her while she was trying to get him to buy something.  But who am I to hate?  So he starts talking to her and the other chick came by and sat next to him too!  Here he is thinking he's macking with 2 honeys right when we first got there.  I didn't have the heart to break it to them so I stayed at the bar to see what he would try to do.  Ha Ha.  Eventually, he motioned for me to come over there [it only took him 5 minutes to do so] and I sat next to him.  Tell me why when they started talking to me, a third girl came out of nowhere and introduced herself to me.  Raven was her name.  I was thinking

"Am I at a whore house or something?"  Ha Ha.  It was funny.  Jimmy told me later that at first he thought this girl was feeling him. I asked him if he saw that they wore the same tanktops, and he was like "Yeah but I thought it was by coincidence."  Ha ha.  Well these girls weren't "you-know-whats" but they were called the JELLO-SHOT GIRLS.  They even have their own website and card.  They're supposed to liven up a party.  Apparently they weren't doing a good job since no one was there.  Ha Ha.  Anyways, *Jim if you're reading this, I didn't mean to shout you out like that but I found that hilarious.

    * Saturday night, I found the new hotspot in NYC.  For all you people diggin' Hawaii, there is a Tiki Bar called Waikiki Wally's.  [E. 2nd St and 1st Ave].  Great place.  Hula dancers, great drinks and everyone that works there is Hawaiian.  It was amazing.  The bartender already bought me a drink the second time around [what a sweetie!].

  • Haha...I'm glad you were keepin' it chill over there. What an odd set of girls.

  • "Am I at a whorehouse or something?".  haha =)  Sounds like you really are living up the single life.  And for some reason I picture the "sweetie" that bought you a drink as some buff bartender with a tight shirt and an earing =P

  • haha! your poor friend Jim.... man... it's so boring in SF... all we have is.... i have no clue???????? i better start looking... haha! have a great week!

  • aww... poor guy. benjapol.com throws parties geared towards filipinos/asians, but the crowd is mad young. table 50 is hot these days, good music.

  • ........how come you live such a fun life?

    no fair. :(

HAHAHAHA "RAVEN"... i knew an ex-porn star named "raven". she had a business card and everything! (no joke.)

  • WOOHOO girls in grass skirts shaking it like a salt shaker?

gotta map all these place out. =]

Hopefully their a close distant away from where we're staying

  • lols. reminds me a little of the time my friend walked into a bar and a girl tried to pick him up.  only she really was a hooker.

  • friday night: you really know how to pick those great parties~!

  • hahahah... the baby is sucking on a bobby thing that you attach to the wall so that when you open a door, it doesn't slam right into the wall, marring it with the doorknob. i remember those spring ones when i was younger... i guess they realize how dangerous those ones are now. i always got some part of my skin pinched when i played with thsoe spring ones but i never stuck my mouth on it.. i just hit it a lot and watch it vibrate back into its orginal still position. hahahha... still.. baby is adorable... just need to have pictures of him doing something else.

i don't play that many card games actually... just ones that aren't really found in casinos... like those little kiddie ones like Big 2 and maybe Crazy 8's if i remember the rules.... i do know how to play BlackJack and Pai Gao (spelling correct??) though.

you don't need the Jell-o Shot Girls to liven up the party - just grab the Flex-man... hahahhaha... it's all good. i don't know how much of a coincedence it could be after the third girl. bleh.

i agree with Mz. Squirrel (commentor #2) - i would think the same thing about "sweetie" who served you... hahhaha...*wink*

  • O.K., O.K., very funny...but first of all I never said it was a coincidence, I thought (for a moment) it was a group of friends dressed alike for ??? anyway it took all of 30 seconds for me to see what was up 'cause its the first thing she told me after my first question which was (guess).   Yo...Flex be embelishing these stories!
