Thanksgiving....

Can't wait...again. (Had my 1st Thanksgiving last Saturday).
To me Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far because... (I feel like I'm in 1st grade)
1. "It gives a chance for people to realize what they're thankful for." Ha Ha. I know it sounds reeeal corny, but Ma Dukes actually makes me go and tell her what I'm thankful for! It's a good habit to get into kids..
2. Its a chance for people to get together and "break bread". In a world when its becoming more prevelant to not have dinner with their families, watch TV or read while eating and popping in microwaveable meals...Thanksgiving brings family together at least once a year to chow down on some real food.
3. In a world when it has become "trendy" to have a diet, excercise, cut out carbs, etc...people allow this ONE DAY of the year to enjoy eating whatever they want. [By the way, turkey is a good source of protein, and cranberries and sweet potatoes have essential vitamins and nutritional value than most think!]
4. Its a simple holiday. No pre-Thanksgiving day... you're allowed to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING the next day, you get a parade, leftovers, football games and a sale. Can't beat that!
* This had to be done. Trying to convince a new special reader that this is da best holiday in the world!

Too bad us Canadians won't get to celebrate your Thanksgiving with you guys =) I love turkey sandwiches with cranberry sauce..so yummy!

I absolutely agree Thanksgiving is the best holiday. Since I'm latina what I love best is pasteles they are made out of mashed plaintains made into rectangular shape with meat and some vegatables it's so delicious.

It's so delicious. lol. hmmm turkey, so good. hmmm oooh and the pasteles musica_gurl is talking about are good yum, i usually don't have don't have that for thanksgiving though, i have the very traditional thanksgiving dinner ya know turkey, stuffing, etc... yum ooh but now i want pasteles too. lol.
That was just about the best compliment any girl could ever receive from a guy! So simple yet it feeds confidence and self-esteem aka vanity and narcissism like nothing else.

yeah Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays too... only time of year where i can see most of my family together... this year its different however...
