So I'm on the train today rushing and I run into this chick, Shira, I used to work with. Here's how the dialogue went:
Shira: "Hey!!! WHAT'S UP ALEX?"
Me (Felix): "
Heyy..what's up?"
Shira: "Not much, meet my boyrfriend, John. John...Alex"
(at this point, I really didn't care that she got my name wrong I was getting off in 2 stops anyway and didn't really care that much to correct her)
Shira: "Alex was this really good rock climber I was telling you about..."
2 Stops later.
Me: "Great well I'm sure I'll see you again..."
Shira: "Wait lemme get your number."
Me: "Ummm...okay". (Great, now she put me down as Alex)
Shira: "Great. I'll call you."
Me: "Grrrreeat."
Ever happen to you? I'm sure you have corrected people...but noooo not me. Now I have to answer the phone to "Alex" when she calls. The big thing is to avoid the people we know in common because then she really would look foolish...
Sheesh...Guess I shoulda corrected her in the beginning. She was just so happy to see
me and acted like we were the best of buds. (which I don't think we were
)
Maybe I'll just ignore her for the rest of my life....Yeah...That's the ticket.

I get Christine all the time, not E, A! I usually just let it go to though cause if they don't know your correct name, most likely they aren't tyte with you anyways. Atleast you got a good story out of it!

Hahaha, what a retard. I forget ppl's names very often. But I wouldn't introduce ppl then. If I forget, I try to avoid or not bring it up somehow. Her on the other hand, being she introduced her bf to you and asked for your #, really in her gut thought that was your name. hahahaah! what a fool.

lol. that's funny. hmmm that reminds me, once this girl who went to my grade school came up to me in high school and it turns out she knew me. And she kept saying "don't you remember me?!" and she was smiling sooo much. I felt horrible, I had no clue who she was, sooo i decided just to act all surpise too, asked her how's she been and avoided the whole name thing. Luckily later someone told me her name. And I still say hi to her when I see her...
And at least you didn't meet this kid I met once, he could never remember my name and would call me all kinds of names like Rachel, meanwhile my name is Karen. lol
