For all those who don't live in NYC...grrrr...
.
Got about 8 somewhat inches of snow the other day. Sure is hard to get around. I saw someone with ski poles and skis skiing across my avenue!!!
. X-Street skiing. Who would've guessed?
. Don't get me wrong, one thing I treasure about NYC is having all 4 seasons, a White Christmas, etc... BUT...what people don't tell you about the snow is:
- how hard it is to walk in the street when you are following other people's footsteps.
- having to shovel the snow if you have a house (front and back) and then to have it snow AGAIN an hour later!
- When the snow melts, its slushy for the next week. Jeans getting wet, slush all over your house when you walk in, slippery conditions...
I guess it pretty though!
P.S. : For all you people who know about my troubled coat rack fiasco (Jan.3 post)...I'm BACK BABY!

it snowed inches in all the areas neighboring nyc too. Albany also got inches and inches of snow. It was purdy and fun playing in the snow tho and the temp went up after it snowed.
So that was good.
i think we got more than one feet of snow in Binghamton and the temperature is -2 right now. chilly...
Dork!!! I am leaving tomorrow... I dont wanna go.
Sorry, I didn't come visit you again... I hate all this snow. Laterz~
I am such a California boy at heart. It never gets way too cold or too hot in the Bay and if I can't stand it anymore cause it gets hotter or colder than usual, I think of y'all out in the East Coast with the extreme weather and realize I have it good.
Snow: pretty to look at but hell to be in ! I'll save it as Christmas card scenery.
You got a new coat hangingmathingy ! LOL PROPS ! Good choice....Never had a thing for coat racks anyways !
nice new coat hanger....looks more organized and less cluttery....
snow?...i just think of snowman....never really thought about how difficult it could be with snow.....just a california girl....you should visit...

i like this coat rack better. Johnny... awww. peace be with him. I don't like snow... i'd rather have the wind that we've been having for what seems like forever!
>_< Just for that Lance comment, i hope a clump of snow falls on you.
I'm putting a 20 down saying that your coat rack won't make it past March.
LOL X-Street Skiiers? i had a bunch of ppl toot around my hood on ATVs/4-wheelers. they were prolly having more fun than me cuz I was shoveling a whole lotta snow! very pretty, tho, i must admit. when i shovel @nite, i just stop every now & then & admire its beauty
. but yes, it is hard work to shovel so much ... oy i need a massage!
wow! that's some fat chunky snow!
...it got up to 80 degrees here last week....ah...
aww thanks for alot for your comment. : ) *hugs*
ah! the snow! lol I wish i had seen someone x-street skating that would have been funny. But yea it has been a hassle to get through especially yesterday when I got back to stony after vacation. I managed to slip yesterday in a snowball fight with a friend at stony. lol. And getting to class today was kinda hard, lol, especially since I was paranoid about falling again. lol. But great pics! And you got a point, at least we do have all 4 seasons here in new york.
Cool coat rack. lol, hope it lasts! : ) Laterz. Have a great day! : )
18 inches in queens...
i scoff at nyc's puny snow =p
you got it lucky down in the city... up here in UB they don't even shovel up the snow on the sidewalk. You basically walk around in deep snow all the time and plus it's usually below 20 or negative something... one more thing, i fell in what i thought was the sidewalk but was deep snow... my body was half in.
Snow is fun!! and you don't live in a house, you do have to shovel!
and i must say, this coat rack is much better!
hey, do you snowboard?
being out in the snow was really awesome - for the first 2 minutes. and then it got really cold. brrrr. slushy streets are icky. nice rack. ba dum bum.
"how hard it is to walk in the street when you are following other people's footsteps."
I like that lien
eventhough, i'm sure you meant it literrally
