* Just wanted to share with you what my mom wrote to me when she read my Xanga:
It's funny how you wrote "me and my mom" instead of "my mom and I " which would be the proper grammar. IS this a "street talk "thing ?
- Mom
ha ha ha....Mad street mom...Mad street.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tennis anyone? So I was in Queens the last 2 days to visit my mom and we decided to play tennis today. Sound normal? Did anyone know how HOT it was today!?! Lemme
show you [L]. There was NO ONE on the tennis courts ! Man it was humid. Me and my mom got there at around 2. I used to go to these courts back in da day to get tennis lessons. Ahh..the good 'ole days. The last time I played was in Cali [2 yrs ago] with my brother and it was probably the hottest day of the year over there too. Oh well, I was a little rusty but my mom was rustier. Whoa. The first few times I hit it to her, she couldn't return it. Here I was thinking... this is gonna be a loooong day! Everything I was hitting, she was missing! Here are some action shots of her
missing. Ha Ha. Notice the ball is behind her. I think we might have hit the ball only 4 times in a row! So she says "Now I realize why I'm not hitting the ball, I'm not used to having someone hit it back to me so fast. After a 1/2 hour, that's when I'll get warmed up!" Okay okay... she's my mom, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. I am younger and I'll take it
easier on her. Man was I wrong...After a 1/2 hour, she was kicking MY butt. Notice the ball is behind me! She had me on my toes and running and running a lot. We took a break after 1 hour of playing. Here I am thinking...Yes! She's going to be tired and we can go home!. But no...."Let's play some more...you're not tired are you?" she asks. "Fine...lets keep playing...@#%$#%*". It was fun though. To tell you the truth, the main reason why I wanted her to play was so that
she can wear her new Nike SHOX that I got her for Christmas. She only wears them to play tennis! I keep arguing with her that the shoes are hot and that she should wear them everyday but she refuses. "Only for tennis." Arrrrgh! Anyway...just wanted to share a Mother-Son moment but
being as competitive as I am, I had to give her an overhead smash just for making me lose the 5 pounds I did today! HA HA! [just playin'...]

Those look like the courts at Alley Pond Park...is that where you played? Damn....I havent played Tennis in a LONG time.... And werd...it was HOT like hell today...I was so sweaty while I was at work...damn dress shirt & slacks!
P.S. I like the color combo on the Shox....I think Baby Blue looks mad nice.

Dude, you knew girls were going to say that.
crap - i wrote something long but something happen and it's all disappear when my window forwarded ahead. *aiya*
i'll have to do it all over again. grrr...
i was saying something about mother-son moments... not spending enough time with my own mother because i'm either working or she's working... barely any time... *sigh* this sucks. it was better off the first round when i wrote it. *sigh* this is lousy. stupid xanga... my long long comment is gone. *sad* argh.
but yeah....
=P
your mommy can whip your ass. yay!
i tell you moms are a lot stronger than we think.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YUR MOTHER?! STOP!!!!!!!! lol
I bought a pair of Nike Shox and I absolutely LOVE them! OMG when I run in them I Feel like I am flying!!! =P haha.
I used to be so mad for tennis that I played in the sun or rain (ok drizzle), but I haven't played for so long and I'm sure I'm pretty rusty. IMO it's hard to find someone to play with who plays as well OR bad as you =P haha..tons of ball chasing. Haha..that's a funny pic of Mrs. Shen there.
what a pansy... your mom woop your a**
what a nice mother-son moment.
Your mom was playing with a rookie, she and I should play. I need some competition. Your mom must be a great player.
haha, are all parents getting into excersise now... haha! well, i love the Maroon 5 song you have on your xanga now! good stuff!
gonna hit up NY for only 6 days.
not much planned yet... except trying to catch a show or two thurs. um.. and EAT!
aw... sweeeeet.
you're a good son.
What a lucky mom.
you're pretty fortunate yourself-- to have a mom who'll still go outside and play with you like that... even if she did beat your ass.
This is how lucky you are: other moms just beat their kids' ass... ya know?
lol how cute. Your mom looks like she's doing a karate chop in that last pic. & did you take these w/ your cool palm pilot while you were playing? o_O
& btw, thanx for the comment. ;] Ken Oak rocks.
HAHAHA that's a funny entry. i love tennis. i think it's the best sport. i'm awful. did your mommy teach parry how to play too?
--- buddhism, ey? you know what i noticed? a lot of people who grew up in a Catholic church end up questionning their religion... hahaha. it was funny that you mentioned that because I grew up in one too.. i even went to private school. hahaha.
Haha...how cute! I wish somebody would buy me a pair of Nike Shox...someone gave my sister a pair, but I have no such luck. Heh heh. So when are you moving to Hawaii?? If I move, it will be in about a year or so.
that's so cute that you and your mom played tennis. but if it was a mother son bonding day, who took the pictures of you guys? oh, and it wasn't real work at kissena, it was cheesy writing for a school play. = p and btw, nice song.
cute mother-son moment. nice pics. how u get pics so clear? holla back on my xanga or else. Laterz~
Yo Felix, you know how tight i was about that paper. I did hand it in by 6:30 and I got points taken off. But thanks for the help. lolz. What happen to counselors that are nice and caring? Anywayz, i will call when I get back after this program is done. Two more days, yeah!!
Laterz~
jeez...i've got a myspace.com profile but i'm too lazy to work on it. i signed up for it when i thought friendster was going to shut down. i know folks who update simultaneously on lj, blogger, xanga and myspace. i'm satisfied enough with xanga and friendster. yeah, who decides all this? 20 somethings are meant to dance to their own beat anyhow.
nyc outdoor summer stuff... on the ps1 tip, something for you to check out-- http://www.socratessculpturepark.org/Film_Series/Film_Festival_2004.htm
seems a little funkier than the bryant park movie genre. it's out in queens though, but as my peep put it in an e-mail, "--intl film, regional cuisine, picnic, perfomances, all in one! And, free." you have to love nyc in the summer...
Wait a minute. So your main motive was to get your mom to wear those shoes and somehow you managed to get your ass kicked on the courts in the process? ...hehehe....
Hey Flex how are you doing? Thanks for leaving me a message, I really appreciate sincerity! ;] I have not seen you for so long man. Felix, I really want to play a ball game with everyone again!!! See you soon, Felix.
Tell
you
haha, i correct my friend's grammer constantly. but what's amazing is how you mom managed to read a nicely written story about your day, and comment soley on your grammer. haha my parents wouldn't even know anything was wrong!
hey felix...the cat called...he wants his name back
haha your mom is funny.... the wonders of ebonics and "street talk"
