*Its funny how people celebrate and feel about their birthdays*
- Some have birthday "week" (where you party for the entire week)....
- Some celebrate their birthday AND "half-birthday" (dividing your b-day into 2. I guess mine is April 13th)...
- Some like to combine birthday parties with friends of the same month...
- Some don't like to have to share the "spotlight"...
- Some have a huge event planned and invite everyone they know...
- Some have only a few intimate friends over...
- Some let everyone know that their birthday is coming up in 2 days, 3hours, 14 minutes and 7 seconds...
- Some don't tell anyone...
- Some yell out "I'M FINALLY 21!!!"...
- Some yell out "i'm finally 30..."
- Some people like getting surprise parties!...
- Some people are embarassed by them...
- Some people do NOT look their age...
- Some DO...look their age...

I used to be a bit bitter about my b-days. Never really had parties and kept it to myself. I felt that people felt obliged to go out and see you whereas they wouldn't make the attempt otherwise. But lately [last 2 years] I tried to be more open about it. Having that thinking did not allow me to enjoy their company fully when they do come out. I prefer my buddies to come out and have a drink with me. That's all I want really. I keep to this motto when it comes to birthdays..."Keep it simple...stupid." * What's your motto?

by my calculations your birthday is tomorrow? in a few minutes? happy birthday! the 20s are a beautiful thing. i used to be the same way birthdays, just a little bitter. i'm only coming to terms with em now. it's a weird day. i'm the quiet type. the last few, i've tried to keep it to myself. birthdays in hs were always fun. college and after college were eh. but i guess those are the cycles of life right? now this year i plan to enjoy it with my peeps and have a drink or two or maybe even three. mabes even a shared celebration with my fellow libras. 20 somethings, we just have to celebrate.
oh and thank you. i'll definitely have some questions for you. happy early birthday again.
happy birthday!! are you used to saying 28 yet? and next year, when i can, i'll buy you a guinness, or two. =D because really, how many things are better than ice cold beer? drink of the gods! and that's depressing that you were bitter about your birthday. of course people want to spend time with you on your birthday because you're so fun to hang out with, why would anyone feel obliged to see you? well, that's in my opinion at least.
and my motto for birthdays is: party all week... longer if necessary, say for example 21st birthdays or other big birthdays.
kinda sucks though that i didn't get to see you this week, but you're not the only one who gets jewish holidays off, so give me a call sometime. =D

I don't really have a birthday motto, but I prefer to just go out to dinner with some close friends (& my sisters) and then hit up the Karaoke Studios...haha.
The past two years have always included some extra "surprise" bash, and to be honest, it's nice feeling loved and all, but I don't enjoy having to deal with the awkwardness that comes with 4 different sects of friends converging together. =T
