Well, the Birthday went real well. Went to this bar called
The Delancey. I chose this place because it was supposed to have a Rooftop Garden that had a water fountain and everything. Little did I know it was real popular and
there were 3 private parties up there already! So we decided to stay in the main bar area. It was fun. There were more people than I expected so that was always a treat. I think we were rolling 20 somewhat deep. Got to see a lot of friends that I didn't see before so it was all good. The best thing about my day was my boy, Cass-izzle gave me a ride on his motorcycle. I had dinner with him in Chinatown after watching one of my former students play in a bball tournament. It was already 9:10 pm and I told my peeps to be there at 10pm and I still had to change. [It's rude to be late for your own thing, ya know?]. Anyways, he offered me a ride back and I was like "Hell yeah". It was awesome. We flew through traffic and up the FDR drive in 15 minutes. It was my first time on a bike and it was the best thing ever. By the time I got back home, it was 9: 25.
Me: "Yo Cass...how you going back home?"
Cass: "Same way."
Me: "Wanna give me a ride back afer I change?"

Ha ha. Just wanted to scare my mom. But for real. It was exhiliarating and a rush. I think I might want one but maybe slower. Maybe a Vespa. But for some reason,
I never seen anyone looking real masculine on them. But they're so compact, good on gas and I could park anywhere in NYC. No more looking for spots. We'll see.....

i'm glad you had a great b-day. i do like the delancey. fun summer spot. i always notice it when i'm driving on the williamsburg bridge from brooklyn into downtown. when i was living in sf, almost everyone was driving a vespa. lots of hipsters and post dot commers seemed fond of them. they are stylish. it's all about style and convienence (sp?) no? with all the vespas a vw bugs in sf i always felt so strange in my hulking suv. ahh well. yeah, the rnc rallies will be interesting. hopefully it will be peaceful, i was just want to avoid any and all arrests. ha,
LOL a Vespa! haha! now that would be a great picture. well, sounds like you had a great time on your birthday... i hope mine will be that way too... but i probably won't have tons of friends at mine... haha!
A belated Happy Birthday Felix!! My boyfriend has a bike, but I am too chicken to ride with him!! I think those Vespas are cute though =) haha..go for it!
Wow, someone was bumpin' it up on their birthday!! My eyes got all big when i saw those bike tricks and was like "Oh no,you di'nt!"
Anyway...about that bike. *ahem* You know, your brother's rollin' in some money now...maybe you can...ah, look in his direction.

yeehaw thanks for commenting... there's a vespa store across from my apartment. one day i'm going to go in there and buy one. ha ha... yeah, a chick on a vespa. ok fine, i won't buy one, but i'll take copious pictures and tell everyone i bought one. happybday
That's real cool that you got to ride on those.. I've never had the opportunity to go on one neither. My bro had one, but since he got into an almost-fatal accident he got rid of it. Now he'll never go one, so who knows when I'll get my chance?? But they're still kinda scary despite the fact that they look nice..
