  • 2 days....I have been working.  So far its been up and down but its getting a lot better.  This was how my room looked like when I first walked in.

Yea man...That sh*t was crazy.  Actually it was a lot worse since they closed off one of the offices and put the remaining stuff in one room!  Damn son.  I would've taken a picture but I didn't think I had enough room to lift my camera to take a picture.  First day was very nice and we had a chance to see what other teachers had similar traits.
NORTH: Go get em attitude.  Jumps into things now, thinks about it later.
WEST: Likes to be very detailed oriented.  Wants to know certain specifics b4 starting.
EAST: Sees and speculates about the big picture.
SOUTH: Takes consideration and cares for other people's feelings and ideas b4 doing something.

We were then supposed to see who goes where and how your chosen group helps and hinders the group and what are things other people need to know about your group to work amicably, and what group you have the most trouble with.  Aren't teacher games just so fun?  Ha Ha.  Well I was a Southie and I repped my group by being the spokesperson.  Here are some quotes I had:
Everyone wants to be asked what they think about things.  You can empower them by doing so."
    "Knowlege talks....wisdom listens."
"It's EASY to talk and talk..the HARDER thing to do is sit back and listen."
"If you don't care or give the impression that you don't care about someone, there's no way you can help the kid.  You need that skill as a foundation."

Anyways....the second day was good.  The staff went to dinner at the Outback Steak House.  Although drinks were on us , my steak, garlic mashed potatoes and cheesecake were on the school.   It was a great bonding moment.  Then off to another bar with the real troopers at my school.  Started at 4:40 pm....yada yada yada...I got home at 1:30 am.   Trooper boyee...

  • damn that's a mess and a half! you're h.s. sounds really cool. it's nice to see that there are jobs out there in N.Y. that actually try to establish a bond outside the work place. like going on that trip and having dinner. it's refreshing.

hey felix, not that i am knocking ya... it seems as though you are great at what you do and have a passion for it.
it's about the term "kids." it's as if the term is adultist and disempowering. no? when i was in high school i used to be annoyed at that term. just a thought.

  • hahahah you know, when i was in high school, i never thought that teachers went out and did stuff. i guess i kind of thought they just went home and graded papers all day. i didn't even picture them going grocery shopping! it's weird.. thinking that my teachers and counselors went to bars until the wee hours of the night getting "crunk". when teachers aren't around their school kids, do they cuss and use urban-language also??!! wow! i have so much to learn!

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How are you?  So, Are you a good person?  Let's see if God thinks so...  http://www.livingwaters.com/good/
It’s not enough to be nice or do good things.  It’s not enough to be talented or intelligent. It’s not enough to just go to church, sit on a pew, and listen to a sermon.  IT’s not enough to follow a whole bunch of religious rules or superstitions.  For you can gain much, but lose out on the most important thing: a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Jesus loves you so much.  He is the Only One that can fill the emptiness in your life that you have tried to fill with other things.  If fact, His love drove Him to the cross to die and rose again and set you free from your every sin.  Sin is the transgression (breaking) of the Law like the Ten Commandments.  Sins include ALL lies, premarital sex, homosexuality, stealing regardless of value, jealousy of others property, lust, putting other people or things before God.  These very sins condemned you to death and hell.  You were conceived in sin also and heading to destruction.  BUT Jesus took your place for He became sin for you on the cross. You were supposed to be on the cross because of sin! He shed His blood and rose again to save you from the clutches of hell. He paid your fine and he experienced the wrath of God for you.  You must accept.  It is your choice to accept and believe this free gift of salvation.
Unbelievers and those who don’t have a relationship with Him, you must repent of your sins! I have to warn you however, if you die in your sin, you can go to hell forever.  Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). If you do not repent of your sins, then you will perish.  God does not want you to perish.  When you accept Jesus, and repent of your sins, then you receive eternal life in heaven and abundant life on this earth.  It is only through RELATIONSHIP! Jesus accepts as who you are even in your sin. When you repent, God WILL forgive you of ALL of your sins.  Not only must you repent, but enter into the relationship that God wants with you. His blood cries out for your salvation and your deliverance! The Blood of Jesus Christ cries out for your healing and blindness!  You shall see, delivered, and be healed in the name of Jesus!  In salvation, His blood washes you and makes you whole! Jesus is coming back again!  Since tomorrow is not promised to you, if you died this second, where would you go: heaven or hell?  Jesus loves you as who you are.  He will accept you but you must humble yourself and repent.  He does not condemn you or force you.  It is your choice and He’s calling you to come!    He's giving you a second chance!  WE all have SINNED, and fallen short of the glory of God!  He forgives!
    JeSs
